"PVC thread-in connector lube:"

From: EMS

I'm sure we all know how much of a pain it is to screw a PVC connector into an aluminum outdoor box. One cheap and easy method is to use a couple drops of dish soap, and work it into the threads of the connector with your fingers. Once you screw it in, the soap will eventually harden, literally gluing it in place, and also contributing to the waterproofing of the connection. If you run quite a bit of PVC, this is also more cost-effective in the long run, saving you money on wire lube.
