"Vinegar clears out old compound:"

You can remove the seal-off compound by pouring vinegar down the conduit. This allows for easy removal of old wire without taking apart the conduit. If a conduit is in use, and one of the wires goes bad, using vinegar allows you to replace the bad wire without repulling the entire loom of wire.
